Seven Things that Make Me Feel Going Out for New Year’s Eve Might Be Overrated…

My NYE FACE
I was so hyped up about getting dressed and putting on make-up and going out on the town.
How-Ever there are some things which I can’t ignore that put a damper on my partying.

One:  This was unrelated but I was hoping to get my camera lens delivered today.  It didn’t come.  I was looking forward to testing it out…oh well…I'm sure there will be other times.

Two: We got a late start. This is a bad idea on New Year’s because clubs jack up the price as time progresses. It was already 15 bucks to get in the place we initially wanted to go…By the time we got there, they jacked it up to 20…

Three: I didn’t get my club picture with my dress on. I AM A Personal Style Blogger. It would have been nice to get some good shots of my outfit on location. But, see number one.
I guess I’ll have to settle for these.

Four: Several people PLANNED on going but only two of us ACTUALLY did.

Five: They did a Money balloon drop at the place we finally settled upon. I was silly enough to try to win something. I didn’t…But I hardly ever win contests.

Six: I wasn’t wearing the right shoes and my toes felt like they had arthritis. Note to self, invest in some platform pumps!

Seven: I didn’t get hit on. I thought I looked good, but apparently I didn’t really stand out to any of the guys that were there {If I did, they didn’t let me know it}. …Not that I am looking for "love in the club," but "I got a big ego" and it likes to be stroked.  …Like the prize thing, I hardly ever get hit on when I go out though…

Things I did enjoy about tonight?

I had someone to go out with. I can roll solo-dolo, but I’m finding “No Man’s” is nothing more than an Island. On some level everyone needs someone.

We found a nice party for 5 bucks!

I got to dance.

I got to dress up and go out on New Years.

My friend got a free taco.

So all in all, I'm not ready to give it up just yet. I want to ring in 2015 the same way. Getting SUPER glam and heading out to a party. I hope I'll have someone to kiss at midnight. *wink*

There will be let downs in life. PERIOD! But looking at the bright side helps one get though times which are tough.

Happy New Year's Everyone!

  3. Girl, I loved this post! I feel the same way, a girl needs a little ego stroking every now and again. I rarely get hit on anymore....oh well lol! You looked fabulous though and I'm glad you still had a good time. Hopefully you'll be able to get that midnight kiss next year! Happy New Year!

  4. Happy New Year to you too as well. I don't know why you wouldn't get hit on Trice you are gorgeous! Dudes must be BLIND! No, seriously, I think God has a hedge of protection around me that makes the wrong types of guys blinded to my attractiveness so that I'm not swayed. It may seem farfetched but it's what keeps me going. Accepting what is has gotten a bit easier for me over the years. I used to get crushed...now it's just something I notice, but don't pay too much attention to.

  6. Girl you looked FIERCE!!!! U know in the clubs a lot of guys are looking for more easy and u look sexy and classy...i.e. too much work...so you were probably definitely saved from the club piranha lowlives. I'm glad you had a great time. I went out too but we came back in before 12....and rang the actual New Year in at home. I'm not sure if I'm going out next year but whatever I do I do plan to dress up!!

    1. I recieve that! I will say I first got into make up when I did my big chop. I'd get soooo frustrated because things didn't work out as I planned. It took me actually sitting on a make up chair or researching on the web for tips and tricks. I do one basic look with variations! I make it really easy on myself on that respect.
