Fit & Flare...

Living life in the moment has caused me to seize opportunities to expound upon pieces in my wardrobe that I don’t get to wear much.

That means stepping out of my comfort zone & saying “Yes” to occasions I would normally turn down.

I be in Tamieland on the weekends.
That entails doing things that I enjoy and having some me time.

But someone who I have grown to admire and respect dearly graduated with her doctorate degree today.

So I took her celebration as an opportunity to wear a dress & shoes that have been sitting idly in my closet.

Had I not said "Yes," I would not have had this opportunity.
I’m good for buying things for different occasions for “just in case.”

I styled this look in my head and really like how it came out.
When my friend hugged me, she also complemented me on my outfit.
 Thanks Dr. Courtney Heard.

I must say, when you surround yourself by people who are a success, you too will become successful…If that’s your mission of course.

I’m not going all the way to get a doctorate like she did, but I am pushing myself far beyond what I ever dreamed possible in my Master’s Program.

I am grateful for people like her who I can share things with and have traveled my journey ahead of me.
She always tells me, “I’ve been there and overcame that circumstance….and so will you.”

For that, I am also grateful.

  3. Looking great per usual Tammie!! That dress is super cute! I saw those wedges in Target, but since I didn't have time to try them on, I didn't get them. Seeing them on you makes me second guess leaving them there! :(

Congrats to your friend! I love celebrating the success of friends and family (and looking good while doing it, ha)

  5. I have been devoted to fit and flare for a long time as my bottom half is bigger. I know you shop ASOS and there are a ton of great options on there...F21 has some and Old Navy has fit and flare with a more modest hemline if you have big hips...My booty was hijacking the length in the back of this dress...that's the only thing...I don't have that issue in my Old Navy & F21 dresses...
