“There is freedom in high expectations.
They connect you to your higher purpose, giving you permission to see yourself
as greater and rise above limiting circumstances. Higher expectations cause you
to work toward elevation of self and they impact facets beyond yourself. Higher
expectations are good and integral to your personal growth. “
--Me
As I am being renewed in my faith, I am
focusing on removing limitations from my life.
In the past, I have been guilty of not
moving forward as I should due to remembrance of circumstances that caused me
pain. While I wanted to advance, I would only go so far because I was fearful
of rejection and failure.
Here lately I am thinking, “My mindset has changed, I’m putting action
into higher expectations of myself, but my life seems to be headed in the same
direction.”
I am reminded that God oftentimes does
things in a round-about way. He has the power to change our circumstances in
the blink of an eye. But He is a wise God that knows sometimes, (more times
than not), a progression needs to occur before we can go to the next level.
Even though things may look the same, there
is a bigger picture that God is placing us in position for and He will reveal
this to us at His appointed time.
I am learning that raising the bar is
directly in sync with pushing yourself to pursue your passions, even if the
pinnacles of success you hope to reach doesn’t happen right away.
It’s moving forward, even if you don’t feel
like you are quite ready.
