I know the scale says 226, but I am at a small deficit from when I took this picture… J
The reason why I have not wanted to post is inner struggle
about my weight.
I promise this is NOT going to be a negative-self-loathing
BLOG.
I know I have written about this subject time and time
again. But that is only evidence it is a STRuGGLE and its on-going…One that
with hard work I will conquer.
This is my TRUTH…that’s what I’m good at. And I think that’s how I relate to others.
I’m realizing health is a lifestyle change. (DUGH!)
I straddled the fence…and it has not paid off.
But the GOOD thing about my weight gain is what I know about
fashion and how to relate that to my body type…
Sooo… I can dress myself at any size I am. (That is not an EXCUSE not to take care of myself BTW, just citing my resourcefulness!)
My Goals Are:
Dressing for the size I am while working toward the size I
want to be.
Living in the moment.
Learning how to use my camera (without help).
Acceptance of self.
Implications:
My fashion choices will change but my style will not!
I will have more life experiences and be opened to new
opportunities.
My pictures will be crappy sometimes.
Being more confident and comfortable (and all which encompasses these traits).
That’s what this blog will be about…
The journey and what I’m wearing during it….
I AM cognizant of the fact that I have seen people that have
started with me or after me…and THEY have kept it up. I have not. It makes me
jealous and disappointed in myself.
But as the saying goes, you have to work with what you have…
Looking at these pictures made me realize I have a lot.
Thank you Seri…

HOT! LOL!

You are a smart, beautiful young woman. You know what needs to be done to meet your goals. Dress your body the way it is. Also buy a hot damn dress or outfit. Put it on a hanger and place it where you have to see it everyday. It's your motivation. Try it on once a month and take a photo so that you can see your progress as you continue on your journey to a healthier you.
ReplyDeleteIf you need any encouragement or support I'm here.
I like your idea! My clothes were actually the first indication I had gone off the deep end. Why can't they be encouragement? Thanks Dawnya!
DeleteYou are VERY brave to post your number. I also have inner struggles and times I don't want to post but I forge on because the people that reading your blog are not here to judge you (well I'm not) we are here for the fashion at WHATEVER size you are. I am still working towards my goals and it seems everyone can see my progress but me. I love these pics btw!!!
ReplyDeleteI thought if I was going to do it, I might as well go all out V! It can be a reminder of how far I've come and that's really what blogging is to me. I appreciate my readers and I look for yall's comments...but I started Myaura to document my journey. I have to be honest or it'd be like lying to myself. Thanks for your continued support! It means a lot!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you back Tammie! I wondered where you had been. You are very brave, honest and encouraging. Oh the weight loss struggle on my end has been very real. I loathe the gym...I really do, but I've been going - not as often as I should though. It's so hard trying to eat right, work out and all of that stuff. I'm taking baby steps, but it takes forever it seems to see any results. I think you have a great blog and I'm always impressed and inspired by you and your journey...you will get there, I'm sure of it. In the meantime, I think you look great. You dress your body for whatever size you're at and you have great style - I see you looking great throughout your weight loss transformation. :) Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I took a peek at your blog as well and I could relate to you as well...
