Why Not in VEST?

When Eboni of The Fashionista Next Door did vests as her most recent Style me Friday Challenge, I knew I wanted to take part…

I had also mentally chosen the piece I wanted to showcase as well…

As I read blogs, I take in fellow fashion lover’s thoughts about  how they are transitioning pieces from summer to fall.

This vest as well as the overall-look encompasses that transition.

An easy way to pull this aesthetic off  [especially in states which yields weather that still resembles the scorching heat of the summer in months that are technically marked for cooler temps] is to layer with lighter fabrics and use colors which borrow from a darker pallet…

This is what I did with my sleeveless cargo vest, long and lean tank and comfy cottony leggings!

And, the black, brown, deep purple and metallic colors are representative of fall while the neon pops are  vibrant and summery!!!

Also, the vest I’m featuring was bought at a time where it seemed that they were all the rave in the fashion blogger world.

I purchased mine on clearance!

I love it when I find items so coveted on a dime and  I can use all the inspiration I receive from other lovers of fashion to style it!

Cargo Vest: Old Navy

  2. A great alternative is the military jackets they have this fall. If I hadn't bought an olive Anorak styled jacket last season at Forever 21, I'd cop one...I still may get a csmo-print jacket. Thanks for reading V.
