When I first spotted this piece online, I was a bit perplexed as to how it would translate into my personal style.
To me, rompers are a summer piece, but the color was
reminiscent of the cooler months.
What I was faced with was a style challenge …
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED!
This romper is PERFECT
for this time in the season where the summer heat is reluctantly subsiding and
allowing the cooler temps to slowly take over. I wasn’t quite ready to rid my wardrobe of lighter shades,
so I threw on my OVERSIZED cream
sleeveless blazer.
As you can see, the look could stand on its own without my topper if things heated up, which they did.
Also, I’ve had these FABULOUS shoes on deck since my birthday in
May, and I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve worn them, so TAG,
they were it.
I pulled the rest of the look together with a medium-sized
statement necklace and a clutch {its freaky how well the bag goes with the
shoes and they were NOT purchased at the same time}.
I even played up my face beat to be reminiscent of the merging of the WARMER+COOLER seasons with a brown smoky eye and a frosty, plum colored lip!
